Removal & Disposal

Before a new tile installation can begin, the old materials must be safely and properly removed. At Main Tile Setters, we handle complete removal and disposal services for floors, walls, backsplashes, and bathrooms. Our goal is to prepare your space quickly, safely, and efficiently so it’s ready for your new installation.

What We Remove

  • Old floor tiles, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl
  • Bathroom and shower tiles
  • Kitchen backsplashes
  • Exterior stone or porcelain tiles
  • Old grout, mortar, and debris

We provide both small-scale and full-space demolition, removing damaged or outdated materials while protecting the surfaces that remain.

Our Removal Process

  1. Site Preparation
We protect surrounding areas, disconnect plumbing or fixtures when needed, and ensure the work zone is clean and safe.
  2. Tile and Mortar Removal
Using professional tools such as oscillating cutters, scrapers, and grinders, we remove tiles and mortar without damaging the subfloor or drywall.
  3. Debris Cleanup
All debris, mortar, and waste are collected, bagged, and removed from the site.
  4. Surface Inspection
After removal, we assess the substrate for any damage, leveling issues, or moisture problems that must be corrected before installation.

Disposal Options

We offer two methods for disposing of renovation waste:

  • Company Haul-Away: For small to medium projects, we transport all debris using our company cargo vans.
  • Bin Service: For large-scale demolitions, we provide correctly sized bins and ensure proper handling of weight limits and materials.

All waste is handled responsibly according to local regulations.

Safety and Efficiency

Our team follows strict safety measures, including PPE use, dust control, and proper ventilation. Whether it’s a full bathroom demolition or backsplash removal, we complete each step carefully to protect your home and ensure the best conditions for your next phase of renovation.
